Welcome to Clavering Care Home

At Clavering, we care for residents who are over 65 years old and are living with the experience of dementia, and who may have other care needs.

The aim is to foster an atmosphere of care and support which enables residents to live as full, interesting and independent lifestyle as possible with rules and regulations being kept to a minimum.

Clavering was originally a residential house built in the forties. It grew to become a 14 bed residential care home, until in 1993, work started on transforming it into the 49 bed care home it is today. Spread over three floors, two of these are for the residents whilst the top floor is used for offices and staff facilities along with a training room.

The home is a mixture of both single and double rooms, a number of these having en-suite facilities. Lounges are situated on both floors, while on the ground floor there is also a large dining room with the kitchen situated beside it offering freshly prepared, home cooked meals prepared by our qualified Chef. The Chef will happily discuss with residents their requirements and is able to provide for all styles and tastes.

The home also provides two additional areas for relatives to visit their loved ones in a more personal setting, with a conservatory and a garden room available to relax in.

The home has a split garden with a courtyard area set just off the patio, which is used in the summer months for alfresco dining, while at the rear of the home is a spacious garden allowing space for the residents to take in the garden surroundings. The gardens are secure and allow residents to wander around without risk.

A fully equipped in-house laundry ensures that residents benefit from a prompt service delivered on the premises. With all laundry cleaned onsite it adds a personal touch to the service provided.

Our team includes qualified nurses and care assistants, along with the housekeeping team who take care of cleaning and laundry services. Onsite maintenance ensures the home is kept to a high standard.
